HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners of 
4
Glenbrook Security Services, Inc. in Glenview on the occasion 
5
of the company's 50th anniversary on February 15, 2009; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, On February 15, 1959, Glenbrook Patrol Services, 
7
owned by  Thomas and Mary Ann Bucklin, officially began 
8
providing security patrol services in Glenview; years later, 
9
the company was renamed Glenbrook Security Services to reflect 
10
the growth and direction of the company; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, For the past 50 years, Glenbrook Security Services 
12
has provided patrol, alarm response, and contract security 
13
services to customers in Chicago and the surrounding suburban 
14
areas; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Thomas and Mary Ann Bucklin have five children; 
16
currently, three of their children, President/CEO Steven 
17
Bucklin, Senior Vice President Roy Bucklin, and Tim Bucklin, 
18
are working in the family business; Thomas, Steven, and Roy are 
19
also involved with numerous associations, boards, and 
20
organizations within the security guard industry; therefore, 
21

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate the owners of Glenbrook Security Services, Inc. in 
4
Glenview on the occasion of the company's 50th anniversary and 
5
wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be 
6
it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to Thomas and Mary Ann Bucklin as a symbol of our

esteem and respect.
