| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, On March 26, 2009, Bea Wyeth-Wheeler will receive |
| 3 |
| the Margaret Gaule Lifetime Achievement Award from the |
| 4 |
| Springfield Civic Garden Club as the second recipient of this |
| 5 |
| prestigious award; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, In her 50 years of entering her floral designs at |
| 7 |
| the Illinois State Fair, Bea Wyeth-Wheeler has won more than |
| 8 |
| 5,000 ribbons, of which more than 2,000 were first place blue |
| 9 |
| ribbons; she has also won over 400 Best of Show trophies for |
| 10 |
| horticulture and design; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Bea Wyeth-Wheeler is a Master Flower Show Judge |
| 12 |
| and a University of Illinois Master Gardener, as well as the |
| 13 |
| Springfield Civic Garden Club's First Vice-President; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Bea Wyeth-Wheeler was the chairman of many of the |
| 15 |
| Springfield Garden Club's flower shows and has won several |
| 16 |
| hundred ribbons and Best of Show awards at the local, district, |
| 17 |
| and State level; therefore, be it
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 |
| designate March 26, 2009 as Bea Wyeth-Wheeler Day in the State |
| 21 |
| of Illinois in celebration of her half a century of success in |
