HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, On February 21, 2009, Seth Milks won the Illinois 
3
Individual State Wrestling Championship at 130 pounds in Class 
4
1A with a 5-4 overtime victory in the final match of the State 
5
Tournament; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, His 2009 Championship makes Seth Milks the first 
7
four-time State Champion from Dakota High School in Dakota and 
8
only the 11th four-time State Champion in Illinois High School 
9
history; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Seth's father and Assistant Coach, Troy Milks, was 
11
the Assistant Coach of the Year for 2006; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Seth's Head Coach, Peter Alber, was Coach of the 
13
Year in 2005; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Seth's brother, Jesse Milks, was State Champion in 
15
2006; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Seth Milks was a vital part of the Dakota High 
17
School 2006 State Championship Wrestling Team; he has displayed 
18
the positive character traits of sportsmanship, maturity, 
19
dedication, and leadership; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Seth Milks, the Milks family, his team and coaches 
4
from Dakota High School for Seth's great high school wrestling 
5
career, his character, and his example to others; and be it 
6
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to Seth Milks, his family, and Dakota High School as 
9
a symbol of our respect and esteem.
