HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team on the occasion of their victories at the State Horse Judging Contest at Black Hawk East College and the National FFA Horse Judging Contest; and

WHEREAS, On September 20, 2008, the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team competed in the State Horse Judging Contest at Black Hawk East College in Kewanee; the team placed first overall out of 75 participating teams; and

WHEREAS, The Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team's victory qualified the team to compete at the National FFA Horse Judging Contest, held during the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana in October of 2008; the team placed seventh out of 47 states represented in the contest; and

WHEREAS, The Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team will travel to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in August of 2009 to participate in the AQHA Youth World Show; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team are Josi Reed, Emillee Atkinson, Jackie Reed, and Natalie Carr; the team's FFA Advisor is Jean Bond and the team's coach is Jeremy Reed; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team on the occasion of their State and national victories and wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the members of the Hardin County FFA Horse Judging Team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
