| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the coaches and |

| players of the Maine South Hawks football team on the occasion |

| of winning the IHSA Class 8A State football championship; and

| WHEREAS, The Maine South Hawks defeated the Hinsdale |
| 7 |
| Central Red Devils by the score of 41-21 at Memorial Stadium at |
| 8 |
| the University of Illinois to become the IHSA Class 8A State |
| 9 |
| football champions on November 29, 2008, giving the Hawks their |
| 10 |
| first State football championship win since 2000; and

| WHEREAS, The members of the Maine South Hawks football team |

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
