HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
Marilyn 
4
Mae Schroeder Hickman of Elgin, formerly of Addison, who passed 
5
away on December 14, 2008; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hickman was a graduate of Lincoln 
7
Community High School; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hickman was a hearing officer for the 
9
Illinois Secretary of State for many years until her 
10
retirement; she also worked in the planning department for the 
11
Village of Lombard and served as a deputy assessor for Addison 
12
Township; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hickman enjoyed spending time with her 
14
family and spending the winters at her home in Naples; and


 
15
    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hickman was the beloved wife of Chuck for 
16
59 years; the loving daughter of the late Walter J. and Nelva 
17
Dierker Schroeder; the caring mother of Michael (and Joanne) 
18
Hickman and Diane (and Frank) Michelkamp; the loving 
19
grandmother of Melissa, Frank, Meagan, Kelly, Robert, and 
20
Courtney; the dearest great-grandmother of Alexandrea and 
21
Izabel; the dear sister of Dorothy (and Rocco) Giordano,

Wilferd Schroeder, and Loren (and Barbara) Schroeder; and the

fond aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend of many; therefore, 
3
be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of 
7
Marilyn Mae Schroeder Hickman; and be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Marilyn Hickman as an expression of 
10
our sympathy.
