HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Razzle Dazzles 
4
Junior Parade Corps on winning the World Title in the Junior 
5
Parade Corps competition at  Ghent, Belgium, at the National 
6
Baton Twirling Association World Championships as part of Team 
7
USA; and


 
8
    WHEREAS, Team USA took the floor first in their division 
9
competing for the world championship title against teams from 
10
Holland, Croatia, and the Czech Republic; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, This was the first time the Razzle Dazzles 
12
competed at the world championships; during their time overseas 
13
the team toured Paris, France and London, England; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, The Razzle Dazzles are under the direction of 
15
Laura Spaeth and Dawn Cmiel and choreographer Sherry Parisi; 
16
and

 
17
    WHEREAS, The team members from Zion, Winthrop Harbor, 
18
Antioch, and Arlington Height are Neva Butkus, Melissa Taylor, 
19
Kaitlin Spaeth, Kalie May, Hayley Love, Maggie Potter, Jenny 
20
Campbell, Maddie Butkus, Lexi Richardson, Mackenzie Cmiel, 
21
Taylor Wald, and Anna Scheldrup;
  team members from Kenosha,

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

congratulate the Razzle Dazzles for their outstanding 
10
accomplishment and wish them all the best in their future 
11
endeavors; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13
presented to the Razzle Dazzles Junior Parade Corps as a symbol 
14
of our respect.
