| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, When we think of the world being a better place, |
| 3 |
| we think of how it begins with young children; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Children need a safe and loving environment to |
| 5 |
| grow, learn, excel, and be happy; they have dreams and wishes, |
| 6 |
| and society must do what's best to help their dreams come true; |
| 7 |
| and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Children are brilliant and ingenious in their own |
| 9 |
| way; society should have an established date to recognize the |
| 10 |
| achievements and value of its children; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, El Dia de los Ninos (Children's Day) is celebrated |
| 12 |
| to recognize and acknowledge every child; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, By celebrating Children's Day on April 30, we are |
| 14 |
| making a commitment to our children that we will continue to |
| 15 |
| listen, teach, and nurture them; therefore, be it
|
| 16 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 17 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 18 |
| designate the date of April 30, 2009 as El Dia de los Ninos |
| 19 |
| (Children's Day) in the State of Illinois in order to |
| 20 |
| commemorate the lives of our children and our future.
