HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Andrew Middendorf 
4
of Lindenhurst on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of 
5
Eagle Scout on February 25, 2009; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Andrew Middendorf began his scouting career as a 
7
member of Cub Scout Pack 675, attaining the rank of Bobcat on 
8
September 23, 1999; he steadily climbed the ranks of the Cub 
9
Scouts, reaching the rank of Webelos II on January 2, 2002; he 
10
then became a member of Boy Scout Troop 675, becoming a Scout 
11
on March 20, 2003; once again showing great initiative, he rose 
12
through the Boy Scout ranks until he reached the pinnacle of 
13
achievement within the organization, the rank of Eagle Scout; 
14
in total, he has earned 34 Merit Badges; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Andrew Middendorf has served in many positions of 
16
responsibility within the Boy Scouts; he has served as 
17
Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Troop Librarian, Troop 
18
Scribe, Troop Quartermaster, Troop Instructor, Troop Assistant 
19
Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Junior 
20
Assistant Scoutmaster, Troop Order of the Arrow 
21
Representative, and District Camporee Senior Patrol Leader; 
22

    WHEREAS, Andrew Middendorf is a student at Lakes Community 
2
High School; he is a member of the school's Marching Band, 
3
Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Drama Club, and German Club; he is 
4
also an honors student and is a member of the International 
5
Thespian Society; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Andrew Middendorf's family, friends, and fellow 
7
Scouts, along with the members of this body, are proud of his 
8
hard work and dedication in gaining this prestigious rank; 
9
therefore, be it

 
10
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
12
congratulate Andrew Middendorf on the occasion of attaining the 
13
coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and 
14
happiness in the future; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16
presented to Andrew Middendorf as a symbol of our esteem and 
17
respect.
