HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the people of 
4
Addison and the staff of the Addison Recreation Club as they 
5
celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Club; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club was formed sixty years 
7
ago for the purpose of providing youth sports to the children 
8
of the Village of Addison, School District 88, and School 
9
District 4; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club is a non-profit 
11
organization that provides baseball, football, basketball, and 
12
cheerleading to boys and girls; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club provides mentoring 
14
for the youth of the community in sportsmanship, teamwork, 
15
schoolwork, and camaraderie, preparing children for high 
16
school and later years; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club is a group of 
18
volunteers devoting their free time and personal knowledge in 
19
sports to develop, nurture, and guide children; and

    WHEREAS, The Addison Recreation Club is committed to giving

children the opportunity to play in the sport of their choice 
2
and has implemented a philosophy entitled "No Children Turned 
3
Away"; with the current economic situation in the country the 
4
Addison Recreation Club is providing free signup for the sports 
5
programs for those children who cannot afford to pay for them; 
6
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
9
congratulate everyone involved in the Addison Recreation Club 
10
and its programs and wish them continued success in their 
11
future endeavors; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13
presented to a representative of the Addison Recreation Club as 
14
a symbol of our respect.
