HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The Chicago High School for Agricultural 
3
Sciences, located at 3857 W. 111th St. in Chicago, is in 
4
Illinois' 35th Representative District; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, This unique high school provides a learning 
6
experience relating to agriculture, a curriculum not usually 
7
found in any large urban educational setting; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, The Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences 
9
provides a four year college-preparatory school for students 
10
who aspire to a higher education in agriculture; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, The School has been the beneficiary of numerous 
12
scholarships provided by First Farm Credit Services, located in 
13
Normal; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Those scholarships and other support services 
15
provided by First Farm Credit Services have served to emphasize 
16
the great importance of agriculture in Illinois; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Agriculture in Illinois provides a major 
18
component in the diverse economy of this State; therefore, be 
19
it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
commend the owners and employees of First Farm Credit Services 
4
for their long-term support for the Chicago High School for 
5
Agricultural Sciences; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to First Farm Credit Services as a symbol of our 
8
esteem and respect.
