HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Beverly Frett, 
4
director of library media services at Robert Clow Elementary 
5
School in Naperville, for her hard work and dedication which 
6
enabled the school to win the National School Library Media 
7
Program of the Year Award from the American Library 
8
Association; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Established in 1963, the National School Library 
10
Media Program of the Year Award honors schools that provide 
11
library media programs that are fully integrated into the 
12
school's curriculum and adhere to state, national, and 
13
association standards; three winners were named in the U.S., 
14
with each school receiving a $10,000 prize; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Beverly Frett has been a resident of Naperville 
16
for 29 years; she has been checking out books at Clow 
17
Elementary School's library media center since 1989; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Beverly Frett spent five months diligently 
19
working on the application for the award; her efforts paid off 
20
in the form of national recognition and valuable funding for 
21
her school; and

    WHEREAS, Beverly Frett serves as a model of hard work, 
2
integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3
Illinois; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
congratulate Beverly Frett for her hard work and dedication 
7
which enabled the school to win the National School Library 
8
Media Program of the Year Award and wish her continued success 
9
and happiness in the future; and be it further

 
10
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to Beverly Frett as a symbol of our esteem and 
12
respect.
