| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Greg Hallbleib on |

| the occasion of his induction into the Illinois Basketball |
| 5 |
| Coaches Association Hall of Fame in April of 2009; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Greg Hallbleib began his distinguished career in |
| 7 |
| radio 30 years ago at radio station WZOE in Princeton, where he |
| 8 |
| became a fixture as a local sports and news broadcaster; in |
| 9 |
| 2002, he moved to WJBC in Bloomington-Normal, where he serves |
| 10 |
| as the station's sports director; he also serves as anchor of |
| 11 |
| WJBC's weekly Friday Night High School Football Extravaganza, |
| 12 |
| which features live reports from games throughout central |
| 13 |
| Illinois, and co-hosts WJBC's daily afternoon talk show with |
| 14 |
| R.C. McBride and Jim Fitzpatrick; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Greg Hallbleib has served as the television voice |
| 16 |
| of the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Championship for |
| 17 |
| the past 14 seasons; he currently serves as the play-by-play |
| 18 |
| voice of the Bloomington Prairie Thunder hockey team, the |
| 19 |
| Bloomington Extreme Indoor Football Team, and the Illinois |
| 20 |
| State University Volleyball team; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Greg Hallbleib has received numerous awards for |
| 22 |
| his news reporting and sports play-by-play from the Illinois |
