| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the |
| 4 |
| Clemente High School varsity boys baseball team on the occasion |
| 5 |
| of winning the Chicago Public League baseball championship; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Clemente High School baseball team defeated |
| 7 |
| two-time defending champion Whitney Young in a 9-7 victory at |
| 8 |
| U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago on May 26, 2009; the team ended |
| 9 |
| their season with an 18-6 record; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The Clemente High School baseball team's victory |
| 11 |
| marks the school's first city title since 2003; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Clemente High School varsity |
| 13 |
| boys baseball team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and |
| 14 |
| dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, |

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
