HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to thank Ron Hunt for his years of 
4
service to the City of Villa Grove; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, He served as an Alderman for the City of Villa 
6
Grove from 1991 to 1993 and as Mayor of the City of Villa Grove 
7
from 1993 to 2009; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, He has been involved for several years organizing 
9
the Villa Grove Ag Days celebration; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, He retired from the University of Illinois at 
11
Urbana-Champaign as an ironworker foreman; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, He has enjoyed raising horses and was involved in 
13
barrel racing; he enjoys carpentry projects, being with his 
14
family, and spending time with his grandchildren and 
15
great-grandchildren; and

  
16
    WHEREAS, He is married to his wife, Becky; they are the 
17
proud parents of two daughters, Chris Schultz and Sandra 
18
Nicholson; two sons, Sam Hunt and Rick Hunt (deceased); and two 
19
step-daughters, Renae Seal and Rachel Chandler; they are the 
20
loving grandparents of Alicia, Jennifer, Scott, Samantha,

Jordyn, Dane, Jada, Anthony, Austin,  and Brittany; and the

loving great-grandparents of Eli, Rylee, Alyse, Maggie,

Fletcher, and Dominic; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
thank Ron Hunt for his years of service to the City of Villa 
7
Grove and wish him continued success in all his future 
8
endeavors; and be it further

 
9
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10
presented to Ron Hunt as a symbol of our respect.
