HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4
West Frankfort High School bass fishing team on the occasion of 
5
winning the first Illinois High School Association bass fishing 
6
State title; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, After a 5th place finish on the tournament's first 
8
day, West Frankfort High School bass fishing team member Dylan 
9
Vaughn caught five bass weighing 10 pounds, 5 ounces to lead 
10
the West Frankfort Redbirds to the inaugural Illinois High 
11
School Association bass fishing State title; Mr. Vaughn, 
12
together with teammate Kaleb Gardner, combined for eight bass 
13
over the two-day tournament; the pair's total catch weighed 
14
16.25 pounds, the largest haul of the 52 boats during the 
15
tournament; and

    WHEREAS, The West Frankfort High School bass fishing team 
17
was ably led by coach Keith Vaughn, who is also Dylan Vaughn's 
18
father; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, The members of the West Frankfort High School bass 
20
fishing team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and 
21
dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, 
22
be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate the members of the West Frankfort High School bass 
4
fishing team on the occasion of winning the first Illinois High 
5
School Association bass fishing State title and wish them 
6
continued success and happiness in the future; and be it 
7
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to West Frankfort High School bass fishing team coach 
10
Keith Vaughn as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
