| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Halie Hart on the |
| 4 |
| occasion of becoming the Class AA pole vaulting State champion |
| 5 |
| at the seventh-grade level on May 22, 2009; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Halie Hart is a student at Millburn Central School |
| 7 |
| in Wadsworth; she showed her great dedication to pole vaulting |
| 8 |
| through her practice regimen, which consisted of waking up |
| 9 |
| three days a week at 6 A.M. for practice, skipping recess for a |
| 10 |
| midday session, and joining the team after school for track |
| 11 |
| practice in order to make the most out of limited pole vault |
| 12 |
| pit availability at nearby Lakes High School; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Halie Hart cleared 8-feet, 11-inches during the |
| 14 |
| tournament, beating the field by more than six inches to become |
| 15 |
| the first at her school to win a gold medal at a State |
| 16 |
| tournament; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Refusing to rest on her laurels, Halie Hart |
| 18 |
| aspires to continue her intense training and compete in the |
| 19 |
| 2016 Summer Olympics; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Halie Hart serves as a model of hard work, |
| 21 |
| integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of |
