| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the |
| 4 |
| Hillcrest Hawks boys track and field team on the occasion of |
| 5 |
| their first place victory at the IHSA Class 2A Boys Track and |
| 6 |
| Field State Meet; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The Hillcrest Hawks boys track and field team |
| 8 |
| scored 93 points during the tournament, rolling up 46 more |
| 9 |
| points than the meet's runner-up, Cahokia; ably led by Jamison |
| 10 |
| Wilson, Sam Russell, Maurice Lyke, and Ryan Keen, the team |
| 11 |
| dominated all 10 events, with victories in the 300-meter |
| 12 |
| hurdles, the 1,600-meter relay, the 400-meter relay, and the |
| 13 |
| 110-meter hurdles; the team's victory gave Hillcrest its first |
| 14 |
| IHSA title in the school's 42-year history; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The Hillcrest Hawks boys track and field team's |
| 16 |
| head coach is Ron Towner; the team's athletic director is Lisa |
| 17 |
| Wunar; the assistant athletic director is Donald Houston; the |
| 18 |
| school's principal is Mrs. Renee Simms; and the District 228 |
| 19 |
| Superintendent is Mr. Bill Kendall; and

| WHEREAS, The Hillcrest Hawks boys track and field team |

| serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for |
| 22 |
| the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
