| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the |
| 4 |
| Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Foundation for |
| 5 |
| Educational Excellence on the occasion of the foundation's 15th |
| 6 |
| anniversary in September of 2009; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, The Lincoln-Way High School District 210 |
| 8 |
| Foundation for Educational Excellence was issued a certificate |
| 9 |
| of incorporation on September 22, 1994 and was filed for record |
| 10 |
| on September 30, 1994 in the office of the Will County |
| 11 |
| Recorder; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The Lincoln-Way High School District 210 |
| 13 |
| Foundation for Educational Excellence was founded with the |
| 14 |
| purpose of generating financial support with which to enrich |
| 15 |
| and enhance the opportunities and educational experiences of |
| 16 |
| Lincoln-Way High School District 210 students; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, The first meeting of the initial Board of |
| 18 |
| Directors of the Lincoln-Way High School Foundation for |
| 19 |
| Educational Excellence was held at Lincoln-Way High School in |
| 20 |
| New Lenox on October 4, 1994; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, At the time of the Lincoln-Way High School |

| Foundation for Educational Excellence's incorporation, the |
| 2 |
| district served 3,711 students at Lincoln-Way High School, with |
| 3 |
| campuses at East and Central; today, the district currently |
| 4 |
| encompasses 4 schools that serve nearly 7,200 students; |
| 5 |
| responding to this incredible growth, the Foundation has |
| 6 |
| donated over $2 million dollars to the district in order to |
| 7 |
| benefit the district's students; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, From the time of its inception, the Lincoln-Way |
| 9 |
| High School District 210 Foundation for Educational Excellence |
| 10 |
| has been composed of volunteer board directors from throughout |
| 11 |
| the district, whose dedication and commitment have helped shape |
| 12 |
| the high school experience of thousands of Lincoln-Way |
| 13 |
| students; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Lincoln-Way High School |
| 15 |
| District 210 Foundation for Educational Excellence serve as |
| 16 |
| models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people |
| 17 |
| of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 |
| congratulate the members of the Lincoln-Way High School |
| 21 |
| District 210 Foundation for Educational Excellence on the |
| 22 |
| occasion of the foundation's 15th anniversary and wish them |
| 23 |
| continued success and happiness in the future; and be it |
