HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the faculty, 
4
staff, and students of the Clifford Crone Middle School in 
5
Naperville on the occasion of being the recipient of a 2009 
6
Blue Ribbon Award from the United States Department of 
7
Education; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and 
9
private elementary, middle, and high schools that are either 
10
academically superior or that demonstrate dramatic gains in 
11
student achievement to high levels; Clifford Crone Middle 
12
School was one of only 16 schools in the State to be picked for 
13
this prestigious award, placing the school in the top tier of 
14
schools in this State and the nation at large; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Clifford Crone Middle School received a Blue 
16
Ribbon School Flag and Plaque from the United States Department 
17
of Education in recognition of this outstanding achievement; 
18
and

 
19
    WHEREAS, The incredible success that Clifford Crone Middle 
20
School has enjoyed would not be possible without the hard work 
21
and dedication displayed by the students, the teachers, and the 
22
parents, who have worked together to provide an excellent

learning experience for the school's students; the school 
2
serves as a model of the great things that dedication and hard 
3
work can do for the children of this nation; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
congratulate the faculty, staff, and students of the Clifford 
7
Crone Middle School in Naperville on the occasion of being the 
8
recipient of a 2009 Blue Ribbon Award and wish them continued 
9
success and happiness in their future endeavors; and be it 
10
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12
presented to Stan Gorbatkin, principal of Clifford Crone Middle 
13
School, as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
