| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, State Representative Monique D. Davis and the |
| 3 |
| members of the Illinois House of Representatives want to |
| 4 |
| encourage athletes across the State of Illinois and from around |
| 5 |
| the country to "Bring Home the Gold" in the 2016 Olympics; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, We encourage coaches, trainers, and everyone |
| 7 |
| involved in athletic programs to work hard to ensure that the |
| 8 |
| United States is victorious in its Olympic endeavors; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Although the City of Chicago lost its bid to host |
| 10 |
| the 2016 Olympics, athletes need to work harder then ever to |
| 11 |
| show American pride and resolve in 2016; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, We know that with hard work, determination, and |
| 13 |
| the willingness to succeed, America's athletes can "Bring Home |
| 14 |
| the Gold" in 2016; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 |
| encourage Congress and the President of the United States to |
| 18 |
| stress the importance of "Bring Home the Gold" in 2016; and be |
| 19 |
