| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the women of Lambda |
| 4 |
| State, the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, on their |
| 5 |
| 75th Diamond Jubilee; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The 75th Diamond Jubilee will be celebrated on |
| 7 |
| April 24, 2010 in Springfield; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The mission of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society |
| 9 |
| International is to promote the professional and personal |
| 10 |
| growth of women educators and excellence in education; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, There are 78 chapters in Lambda State with a |
| 12 |
| membership of over 3,700; therefore, be it
|
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 15 |
| congratulate the Lambda State's Organization of the Delta Kappa |
| 16 |
| Gamma Society International on the occasion of the 75th |
| 17 |
| anniversary of its founding; and be it further
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 19 |
| presented to the Society as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
