HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jeff Siegal, an advisor at Buffalo Grove High School, on being named the 2009 Advisor of the Year by the Illinois Directors of Student Activities; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Siegal sponsors the student-based Buffalo Grove High School Blue Crew spirit group, making an effort every year to include as many students as possible and to help them feel they belong to the school community; and

WHEREAS, The Blue Crew supports the student athletes and student activities and service for the community; the Blue Crew has been involved in Meals on Wheels and Adopt-A-School; and

WHEREAS, The Blue Crew sponsors color nights for athletic events and recently sold blue bison shirts, the proceeds from which were given to the Imerman Angels, a one-on-one cancer support organization; the group also organizes the prom fashion show with proceeds going to yet another cancer charity, Camp One Step Ahead; in 2008, the Blue Crew was able to send kids with cancer to camp in Lake Geneva; and

WHEREAS, The group also spends time with the little bison preschool, sponsors the annual senior teach day, and in June of 2009 sponsored a senior breakfast; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Jeff Siegal and wish him continued success in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jeff Siegal as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
