| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the owners and |

| the "Good Neighbor" Business of the Year award; and

| WHEREAS, The "Good Neighbor" Business of the Year award is |

| given by Illinois State Representative Keith Farnham's |
| 8 |
| Economic Advisory Committee to businesses that display a |
| 9 |
| dedication to improving the communities in which they do |
| 10 |
| business; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, OTTO Engineering has been in business since 1961; |
| 12 |
| the company is recognized by its peers worldwide for superior |
| 13 |
| performance and innovative products; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, OTTO Engineering designs and manufactures a full |
| 15 |
| line of products specifically for demanding applications; the |
| 16 |
| company markets its products through two divisions, OTTO |
| 17 |
| Controls and OTTO Communications; and

| WHEREAS, OTTO Controls designs and manufactures precision |

| WHEREAS, OTTO Communications specializes in accessories |

| for the two-way radio market, including surveillance kits, |

| wireless accessories, lightweight and heavy-duty headsets, |

| speaker microphones, and tactical, fire, and HAZMAT |
| 8 |
| communications equipment; and

| WHEREAS, OTTO accessories are designed for use by public |
| 10 |
| safety, security, surveillance, emergency medical teams, SWAT, |
| 11 |
| fire fighters, HAZMAT teams, and other law enforcement |
| 12 |
| professionals, as well as food service, hospitality, |
| 13 |
| entertainment, construction, and industrial markets; and

| WHEREAS, OTTO Engineering has worked to improve the |

| Carpentersville community by renovating abandoned homes in the |
| 16 |
| village and renting them at affordable prices; and
|

| WHEREAS, the owners and employees of OTTO Engineering serve |
| 18 |
| as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the |
| 19 |
| people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
