HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of George A.
4 Beutel of Minooka, who passed away on December 12, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, George A. Beutel was married to Eleanore (Eich)
6 Beutel on October 22, 1955 at St. John Catholic Church, after
7 returning from service in the United States Army, where he was
8 stationed in Japan; he was born into a farming tradition and he
9 truly loved his occupation; he also owned a grain trucking
10 business his entire life; and
 
11     WHEREAS, He was a 30 year member of the Minooka Grain Co.
12 Board of Directors and also served on Board of Directors for
13 the Will County Farm Bureau and its Membership and Marketing
14 Committees; he was an original organizer of the Will County
15 Corn Growers Association, a volunteer for the Troy Fire
16 Department, Honorary Life Member in the Knights of Columbus,
17 and member of the Minooka Lions Club and Loyal Order of the
18 Moose; and
 
19     WHEREAS, He served many years as an usher for his church;
20 and all of his life he was a loyal and avid Chicago Cubs fan;
21 and

1     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, George C.
2 and Clare Beutel; his sister in infancy; and his
3 brother-in-law, John Alsbury; and
 
4     WHEREAS, George Beutel is survived by his wife of 54 years,
5 Eleanore; his four children, George M. (Nancy) Beutel, Daniel
6 L. Beutel, Jean (Jeffery) Hutchison, and John (Elizabeth)
7 Beutel; his grandchildren, George Patrick, Michael and Timothy
8 Beutel, Jacob, Samuel, and Julianne Hutchison, and Brian,
9 Andrew, and McKenzie Beutel; his sisters and brothers, Robert
10 (Helen) Beutel, Charlene (William) Kobe, Janet Alsbury, James
11 (Joann) Beutel, and Gordon (Nancy) Beutel; and his numerous
12 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
13     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15 mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of George
16 A. Beutel; and be it further
 
17     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18 presented to the family of George Beutel as a symbol of our
19 sincere sympathy.
