| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Rich Rioux on his |
| 4 |
| retirement from the International Brotherhood of Electrical |
| 5 |
| Workers Local 134; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, After his graduation from West Lyden High School, |
| 7 |
| Rich Rioux enlisted in the United States Marines and served a |
| 8 |
| tour of duty during the Vietnam War; after being honorably |
| 9 |
| discharged, he returned home and began his apprenticeship with |
| 10 |
| Local 134; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He began his career as a journeyman electrician |
| 12 |
| and ends it as President of Local 134; during his career he |
| 13 |
| continued to support his fellow veterans and soldiers by |
| 14 |
| serving as Commander of American Legion Post #769, where he |
| 15 |
| raised money for soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan; he |
| 16 |
| also brought together members from other trades to remodel a |
| 17 |
| local Iraq War veteran's home, making the home more accessible |
| 18 |
| for the injured soldier; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Rich and his wife, Christine, recently celebrated |
| 20 |
| their 40th wedding anniversary; they have two daughters, Karen |
| 21 |
| and Jennifer; they are the proud grandparents of Jacob, Nolan, |
| 22 |
| Sophia, and Piper; therefore, be it
