| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Donald Gene |
| 4 |
| Monahan on his retirement from the Orland Park Police |
| 5 |
| Department; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Gene was born to Donald Francis and Margaret Mary |
| 7 |
| Monahan; he and his wife, Denise, are the devoted parents of |
| 8 |
| Ryan, Kelly, Trisha, and Mary Kate; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Gene began his law enforcement career at the |
| 10 |
| Midlothian Police Department in 1979; he joined the Orland Park |
| 11 |
| Police Department in 1986, eventually becoming Commander of |
| 12 |
| Administrative and Technical Services; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Gene is admired by his fellow officers and is a |
| 14 |
| legend who will never be forgotten; therefore, be it
|
| 15 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 |
| congratulate Donald Gene Monahan on his retirement; and be it |
| 18 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |

| presented to Gene Monahan.
