| WHEREAS, Dylan Conn, an esteemed resident of Lake Villa and |

| an exceptional student at Grayslake North High School, has |
| 4 |
| achieved national recognition for exemplary volunteer service |
| 5 |
| by receiving a 2010 Prudential Spirit of Community Award; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, This prestigious award, presented by Prudential |
| 7 |
| Financial in partnership with the National Association of |
| 8 |
| Secondary School Principals, honors young volunteers across |
| 9 |
| America who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to |
| 10 |
| serving their communities; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Dylan Conn earned this award by giving generously |
| 12 |
| of his time and energy by creating a Facebook group dedicated |
| 13 |
| to saving premature babies, which has more than 380,000 members |
| 14 |
| and has raised more than $17,000 for the March of Dimes; he |
| 15 |
| also chairs the national Social Media Volunteer Leadership |
| 16 |
| Committee for the March of Dimes; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, The success of the State of Illinois, the strength |
| 18 |
| of this State's communities, and the overall vitality of our |
| 19 |
| society depend, in great measure, upon the dedication of young |
| 20 |
| people like Dylan Conn, who use their considerable talents and |
