| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Ronald |
| 4 |
| Schaper of New Lenox, who passed away on February 14, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, In 1965, Ronald Schaper founded and directed the |
| 6 |
| New Lenox Mustangs youth football program, which he proudly led |
| 7 |
| for 46 years until his passing; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Ronald Schaper was a former school board member |
| 9 |
| for both the New Lenox School District and Lincoln-Way |
| 10 |
| Community High School; he was a member of Lincoln-Way Area |
| 11 |
| Community Television; he was a past member of the New Lenox |
| 12 |
| Lions Club; he was a member and president of the Southwest |
| 13 |
| Midget Football League; he also served as a coach for both the |
| 14 |
| New Lenox Little League Baseball program and the New Lenox |
| 15 |
| Lightning girls traveling softball program; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Ronald Schaper was named "Man of the Year" by the |
| 17 |
| New Lenox Community Park District and "Citizen of the Year" by |
| 18 |
| the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce; he was also inducted into |
| 19 |
| the Joliet Area Sports Hall of Fame; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Ronald Schaper enjoyed coordinating cruises with |
| 21 |
| his many friends; and
