| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Brian Hansen, |
| 4 |
| speedskater from Glenview, on winning a silver medal at the |
| 5 |
| 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Brian Hansen is a 2009 graduate of Glenbrook South |
| 7 |
| High School; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He won his medal in the team pursuit; Team USA |
| 9 |
| beat the Dutch team in a semifinal victory; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Brian's next competition was in Moscow, where he |
| 11 |
| competed in the World Junior Speedskating Championships, |
| 12 |
| winning medals in multiple events; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Brian previously competed for the Northbrook |
| 14 |
| Speedskating Club and was a friendly rival of fellow Olympian |
| 15 |
| and fellow Glenbrook Class of 2009 alum Lana Gehring; |
| 16 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |

| congratulate Brian Hansen and wish him the best in his future |
