1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate Kevin Heine on the

4 occasion of his retirement as Chief of the Bartlett Fire

5 Protection District after 30 years of dedicated service; and

6 WHEREAS, Kevin Heine was born and raised in Bartlett; after

7 moving away from Bartlett for a time, he returned there in

8 1995; and

9 WHEREAS, Kevin Heine has had a long and distinguished

10 career with the Bartlett Fire Protection District; he began his

11 career as a cadet in 1974; he became a part-time firefighter in

12 1976; and

13 WHEREAS, In 1980, Kevin Heine became a full-time

14 firefighter with the Bartlett Fire Protection District; in

15 1993, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant; in 1996, he

16 was promoted to the rank of Captain; in 2002, he was promoted

17 to the rank of Assistant Chief; and in 2006, he was promoted to

18 the rank of Chief, where he remained until his retirement; and

19 WHEREAS, Kevin Heine coached Little League baseball from

20 1998 to 2002 and Bartlett Raiders Football from 2000 to 2006;

21 and

1 WHEREAS, Kevin Heine is a member of the Illinois Fire

2 Chiefs Association and the International Fire Chiefs

3 Association; he is also active with the South Elgin Booster

4 Club; and

5 WHEREAS, Kevin Heine enjoys golfing and traveling; and

6 WHEREAS, Kevin Heine serves as a model of hard work,

7 integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of

8 Illinois; therefore, be it

9 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

10 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

11 congratulate Kevin Heine on the occasion of his retirement and

12 wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it

13 further

14 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

15 presented to Kevin Heine as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
