HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jason Leman of Boy 
4
Scout Troop 96 in Grayslake on the occasion of attaining the 
5
rank of Eagle Scout; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Jason Leman 
7
renovated an attic at Westlake Christian Academy and turned the 
8
attic into a storage space; over the course of several months, 
9
Jason and over 20 Scouts replaced the wiring, painted the 
10
walls, carpeted the floors, and built shelves and a platform 
11
for the room; and
  
 
12
    WHEREAS, Jason Leman is currently a junior at Westlake 
13
Christian Academy; he is on the High Honor Roll and serves as 
14
secretary of the Student Council; he also plays flute in the 
15
school band and was a bugler for his troop; and
  
 
16
    WHEREAS, Jason Leman has been in the Boy Scouts for 7 
17
years; he was a Webelo for 2 years and was a recipient of the 
18
Arrow of Light Award; he is also a member of the Order of the 
19
Arrow; and
 
20
    WHEREAS, Jason Leman has earned over 30 Merit Badges for 
21
his work in the Boy Scouts; his patrol has also received the

National Honor Patrol Award; and

    WHEREAS, Jason Leman will be honored for his work at an 
3
Eagle Scout ceremony on April 11, 2010 at Westlake Christian 
4
Academy; and
  
 
5
    WHEREAS, Jason Leman's family is undoubtedly proud of his 
6
achievements and his willingness to serve his community; 
7
therefore, be it
  
 
8
    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10
congratulate Jason Leman on the occasion of attaining the rank 
11
of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in 
12
the future; and be it further
  
 
13
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14
presented to Jason Leman as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
