HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Michael Hulvey, 
4
general manager of Neuhoff Communications Danville, on being 
5
named the AMBUCS First Citizen; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Michael Hulvey, general manager of Neuhoff 
7
Communications Danville, which includes WDAN, WDNL and WRHK, 
8
was named as this years recipient on March 31, 2010; he was 
9
cited for his community involvement, which included serving as 
10
president of the Danville Area Convention and Visitors' Bureau, 
11
chairman of the Vermilion Advantage Board, associate 
12
tournament director for the National Junior College Athletic 
13
Association Division II Men's Basketball Tournament, chair of 
14
the community relations committee for the Provena Foundation 
15
Board, and as a member of the Danville District 118 Foundation 
16
Board, District 118 Track Committee, Danville Area Community 
17
College Readers Program, and the Illinois Basketball Hall of 
18
Fame board of directors; and
  
 
19
    WHEREAS, He is credited for the creation of the sports 
20
broadcasting camp for kids each summer, giving youngsters a 
21
chance to learn the craft of play-by-play; and
  
 
22
    WHEREAS, He is involved with the International Idea Bank

Organization, allowing Danville to serve as a host to a 
2
convention in the fall of 2006 that introduced over 150 to our 
3
community; in addition, his service on the Radio Advertising 
4
Bureau's small market radio advisory committee and planning 
5
committee has made a name for Danville on the map; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, He is known as a cheerleader for the City of 
7
Danville, a tireless worker, a wonderful friend, and a devoted 
8
family man; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
10
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
11
congratulate Michael Hulvey on being named the AMBUCS First 
12
Citizen and wish him the best for the future; and be it further
  
 
13
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14
presented to Michael Hulvey as a symbol of our respect and 
15
esteem.
