HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Donna Gail Mayberry on the occasion of her retirement after many years of service as the McHenry County Supervisor of Assessments; and

WHEREAS, Donna Mayberry has had a long and distinguished career in local government; she began her career in July of 1978, when she took a position as a clerk typist/account clerk with the Kane County Supervisor of Assessments Office; from April of 1979 until November of 1985, she was employed as a Kane County real estate appraiser; from November of 1985 until September of 1990, she was employed as a Kane County Map Division Supervisor; from September of 1990 until April 30, 1993, she served as a Kane County Chief Deputy; on April 30, 1993, she was appointed to serve as McHenry County Supervisor of Assessments, where she served until her retirement in April of 2010; and

WHEREAS, Donna Mayberry is a member of numerous civic organizations, including the Illinois Property Assessment Institute, the International Association of Assessing Officers, the Illinois Association of County Officials, the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association, and the Woodstock Professional & Business Women Association; she is also a certified Illinois Assessing Official and a Republican Precinct Committeeman; and

WHEREAS, Donna Mayberry serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Donna Mayberry on the occasion of her retirement and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Donna Mayberry as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
