1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Peoria

4 Wildcats basketball team on the occasion of the team's 4th

5 place finish in the 2010 Illinois High School Association

6 Wheelchair Basketball tournament; and

7 WHEREAS, The Peoria Wildcats are in their 7th year of

8 competition in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association

9 and the Illinois High School Association; the team is operated

10 by the Heart of Illinois Special Recreation Association; the

11 Wildcats compete in the Midwest Conference of the NWBA,

12 traveling around the Midwest to compete in various tournaments

13 and competitions; and

14 WHEREAS, The members of the Peoria Wildcats basketball team

15 are Nathan Schertz, Levi Kuipers, Deidra Harper, Corey

16 Scheuttler, Savanna Klobnak, Aaron Cornwell, Tyler Brinkman,

17 Michael Eagenhouse, Jonathan McNamara, and Josh Mool; the

18 team's coaches are Katie and Mike Van Cleve; and

19 WHEREAS, The members of the Peoria Wildcats basketball team

20 serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the

21 people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

2 NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

3 congratulate the Peoria Wildcats basketball team on the

4 occasion of the team's 4th place finish in the 2010 Illinois

5 High School Association Wheelchair Basketball tournament and

6 wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be

7 it further

8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

9 presented to Peoria Wildcats coaches Katie and Mike Van Cleve

10 as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
