| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to thank Seymour Lisnek for his |
| 4 |
| service in the United States Army during World War II and |
| 5 |
| congratulate him for being chosen to participate in an Honor |
| 6 |
| Flight Chicago trip; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Honor Flight Chicago brings World War II veterans |
| 8 |
| to Washington, D.C., to allow the veterans to view the World |
| 9 |
| War II Memorial; United States military officials will greet |
| 10 |
| and pay tribute to these veterans upon their arrival in |
| 11 |
| Washington, D.C., and the Marine Corps Band will play for the |
| 12 |
| veterans upon their return to the Chicago Midway International |
| 13 |
| Airport; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Seymour Lisnek served his country with great pride |
| 15 |
| and distinction as a member in the United States Army in the |
| 16 |
| European theatre during World War II, having achieved the rank |
| 17 |
| of sergeant by the war's end; during the war, he was stationed |
| 18 |
| in London and in Germany, where he single-handedly confronted a |
| 19 |
| truck of German soldiers, who subsequently surrendered to him; |
| 20 |
| and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, Seymour Lisnek serves as a model of hard work, |
| 22 |
| integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of |
