HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
Kenneth 
4
P. Kedzior of rural Smithfield, who passed away on April 14, 
5
2010; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior has a long and distinguished 
7
career with the Illinois State Police; he began his career with 
8
ISP on February 18, 1985 as a cadet; on June 7, 1985, he became 
9
a full-time trooper in District 14; on September 25, 1998, he 
10
was promoted to the rank of sergeant; on July 1, 2002, he was 
11
promoted to the rank of master sergeant, where he remained 
12
until his passing; and
  
 
13
    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior was well known for his devotion to 
14
conservation efforts, including the planting of trees and 
15
prairie grass in District 14 and the planting of prairie grass 
16
at Dickson Mounds; and
  
 
17
    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior is survived by his loving wife, 
18
Dawn; and

  
 
19
    WHEREAS, Kenneth Kedzior will be remembered by all who knew 
20
and loved him as a man whose dedication to the protection of 
21
the citizens of Illinois and the environment was unmatched;

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4
mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of 
5
Kenneth P. Kedzior; and be it further
  
 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the family of Kenneth Kedzior as an expression of 
8
our sympathy.
