| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald |
4 |
| "R.J." Jackson of Beach Park, formerly of Zion, who passed away |
5 |
| on April 11, 2010; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, He was born October 5, 1935, in Waukegan and was a |
7 |
| 1953 graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School; he married |
8 |
| his late wife, Elsie Paulson, on July 1, 1956, in Mississippi; |
9 |
| and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, His career was primarily in real estate for CBS |
11 |
| Realtors in Waukegan, although he was also retired from Johnson |
12 |
| Motors in Waukegan; he was a member of the Loyal Order of the |
13 |
| Moose Zion #667; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, He enjoyed the game of golf and shared his love of |
15 |
| the game as a golf smith; his many friends golf with clubs that |
16 |
| he personally constructed and fitted for them; he spent many |
17 |
| summers enjoying nature and the outdoors with his family at |
18 |
| "RJ's Place" in the Oaks of Montello, Wisconsin; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; his |
20 |
| father and mother, Alex and Helen (Hensley) Jackson; his |
21 |
| grandson, Jake Degler; and his brother, Alex E. Jackson; and
|
|

| WHEREAS, Ronald "R.J." Jackson is survived by his six |

| children, Luann (Kevin) Jordan, Cheryl (Dick) Degler, Ronda |

| (John) Anderson, Barbara (Roger Hacke) Laitinen, Sandra (Mike) |
4 |
| Rowland, and Ron (Sheryl) Jackson II; his grandchildren, Liz, |
5 |
| Kevin II, and Jackie Jordan, Drew, Christy, and Brett Degler, |
6 |
| Ian, Jodi, and Luke Anderson, Lana (David) Oliver, Ally |
7 |
| Laitinen, Trevor and Trisha Rowland, and Molly and Connor |
8 |
| Jackson; his great-granddaughter, Faith Jordan; his uncle, |
9 |
| Bill Jackson (who was like a father to him); his many cousins, |
10 |
| nieces, and nephews and many other family members and life-long |
11 |
| friends; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
13 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
14 |
| mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ronald |
15 |
| "R.J." Jackson; and be it further
|
16 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
17 |
| presented to the family of Ronald "R.J." Jackson as a symbol of |
18 |
| our sincere sympathy.
