HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Russell E. Miller 
4
of Tremont on his retirement as a water operator for the 
5
Village of Tremont; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, He is a lifelong resident of the Village; he is 
7
dedicated to his work, and is known for working nights and 
8
weekends in unpleasant conditions to make sure that the water 
9
continues to flow for his community; and
  
 
10
    WHEREAS, He is known for going above and beyond the call of 
11
duty to meet the needs of the people of Tremont; he is careful 
12
with public funds, using the same pick-up truck for many years, 
13
making it run long past its prime; and
  
 
14
    WHEREAS, He is a Class A water operator and a Class 4 
15
wastewater operator; for 18 years he has won an award from the 
16
Illinois Department of Public Health for having perfect 
17
fluoride in the water; and in 1992 he was a runner-up for Water 
18
Operator of the Year; and
  
 
19
    WHEREAS, He is a member of the Midstate Water Operators 
20
Group and the Illinois Rural Water Association; and

    WHEREAS, He will be joining his wife, Norma, who also 
2
retired from the Village of Tremont after serving for 30 years; 
3
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
congratulate Russell Miller and wish him the best in all his 
7
future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to Russell Miller as a symbol of our respect and 
10
esteem.
