HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Steve Souligne for 
4
his service to the communities of Bradley, Bourbonnais, and 
5
Kankakee; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Steve Souligne served the communities of Bradley, 
7
Bourbonnais, and Kankakee for forty years; and
  
 
8
    WHEREAS, Steve was born in 1953 and started coaching in 
9
1968; and
  
 
10
    WHEREAS, Steve coached for Kankakee Lions Little League, 
11
Elks Pony League, Bradley Bourbonnais Little League, and 
12
Bradley Bourbonnais Pony League; and
  
 
13
    WHEREAS, In addition, he coached basketball at Kankakee 
14
High School; and
  
 
15
    WHEREAS, For over forty years, Steve mentored and touched 
16
many lives in his effort to give back to his community and his 
17
passion for youth sports; his legacy will live on through the 
18
kids that he coached and through the leagues that he 
19
volunteered with over the years; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Steve Souligne for his years of service; and be it 
4
further

    RESOLVED, That his legacy will live on through the many 
6
children he coached and those affected by his dedication to the 
7
community; and be it further
 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to Steve Souligne as a symbol of our respect and 
10
esteem.
