| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to honor Glenn R. Warning of | ||||||
| 4 | Frankfort for his many accomplishments and congratulate him for | ||||||
| 5 | the dedication of a plaque and bust in his honor at the Glenn | ||||||
| 6 | Warning Building by the Frankfort Preservation Foundation; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Glenn Warning was born on February 23, 1924; he is | ||||||
| 8 | a life-long resident of Frankfort; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Glenn Warning and his wife, Lorraine, have been | ||||||
| 10 | married for 65 years; he has one son, Craig, one daughter, | ||||||
| 11 | Sharon, 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Brandon, and one | ||||||
| 12 | step-granddaughter, Morgan; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Glenn Warning has had a long and distinguished | ||||||
| 14 | career in local government; he served as Mayor of Frankfort for | ||||||
| 15 | 24 years from 1965 to 1989; he served on the Will County Board | ||||||
| 16 | for 14 years from 1989 to 2003, during which he served as | ||||||
| 17 | chairman of the Public Works committee and a member of the | ||||||
| 18 | Forest Preserve committee; he served as director of the area | ||||||
| 19 | PACE (RTA) Transportation board for 6 years; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Glenn Warning helped form the Will County | ||||||
| 21 | Municipal League; he served as the Commissioner of the | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission; he served as a board | ||||||
| 2 | member at Harris Bank in Frankfort for 21 years and as the | ||||||
| 3 | Chairman of the bank's board for 4 years; he is also a lifetime | ||||||
| 4 | member of the Lions Club and the Joliet Masonic Lodge and | ||||||
| 5 | Medinah Shrine; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Frankfort Preservation Foundation will | ||||||
| 7 | dedicate the plaque and bust at the Glenn Warning Building in | ||||||
| 8 | Frankfort during a ceremony on June 26, 2010 in honor of Glenn | ||||||
| 9 | Warning and his many accomplishments; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Glenn Warning serves as a model of hard work, | ||||||
| 11 | integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of | ||||||
| 12 | Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 14 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 15 | honor Glenn R. Warning for his many accomplishments, | ||||||
| 16 | congratulate him for the dedication of a plaque and bust in his | ||||||
| 17 | honor at the Glenn Warning Building by the Frankfort | ||||||
| 18 | Preservation Foundation, and wish him continued success and | ||||||
| 19 | happiness in the future; and be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 21 | presented to Glenn Warning as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
| 22 | respect.
