HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lillian Golonka 
4
for her years of service to the Republican Party in Antioch 
5
Township; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Lillian worked for the Lake County Recorder of 
7
Deeds for 23 years; and
  
 
8
    WHEREAS, In 1953 she joined the Antioch Republican Men and 
9
Women's Club; in 1959 she was a charter member of the Antioch 
10
Republican Woman's Club, and held offices in both clubs; and
  
 
11
    WHEREAS, In the late 1970s both clubs joined together and 
12
became the Antioch Township Republican Club; Lillian was 
13
elected Antioch Township Republican Chairman in 1982 and still 
14
holds that position; and
  
 
15
    WHEREAS, She served as an election judge from 1960 to 1968 
16
and served as an Antioch Township Trustee for 11 years; and
  
 
17
    WHEREAS, Lillian will be honored by the Antioch Township 
18
Republican Club on May 22 for her years of service to the 
19
Republican Party; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Lillian Golonka and wish her all the best in her 
4
future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
5
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6
presented to Lillian Golonka as a symbol of our respect and 
7
esteem.
