HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Alia McMurray on 
4
the occasion of her Gold rating finish at the Illinois Junior 
5
Academy of Science State Exposition; and
  
 
6
    WHEREAS, Alia McMurray is an 8th grader at Sauganash 
7
Elementary School; and
  
 
8
    WHEREAS, Alia McMurray received a Gold rating in the 
9
Illinois Junior Academy of Science State Exposition for her 
10
project, "Do Rooftop Gardens Keep Buildings Cool?"; she also 
11
placed 1st in her school's science fair; and
  
 
12
    WHEREAS, Alia McMurray's project was placed in the Top 10 
13
at the Area CPS Science Fair and the Top 50 at the CPS City 
14
Science Fair; and
  
 
15
    WHEREAS, Alia McMurray was one of only 8 elementary school 
16
students whose projects were selected for the Gold rating; and
  
 
17
    WHEREAS, Alia McMurray serves as a model of hard work, 
18
integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
19
Illinois; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
3
congratulate Alia McMurray on the occasion of her Gold rating 
4
finish and wish her continued success and happiness in the 
5
future; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to Alia McMurray as a symbol of our esteem and 
8
respect.
