| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the |
| 4 |
| Danville Lady Vikings track team on placing third in the IHSA |
| 5 |
| State track and field finals held in Charleston on May 22, |
| 6 |
| 2010; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Before this track season, the Danville Lady |
| 8 |
| Vikings had never won a sectional title, and they had never |
| 9 |
| placed at State; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, On May 15, 2010, the Lady Vikings won their |
| 11 |
| first-ever sectional title at Mahomet, and on May 22, 2010, |
| 12 |
| Danville High School claimed its first-ever girls State track |
| 13 |
| trophy with a third-place finish in Class 2A; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The Coaches of the Lady Vikings are Wesley Brown |
| 15 |
| and Tiffany Johnson; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The Lady Vikings accomplished two of their three |
| 17 |
| goals this season: they won Big 12, they won the sectional |
| 18 |
| meet, and almost won the State title; therefore, be it
