| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The Chicago Board of Education does not provide |
| 3 |
| proper notification to parents of students in schools before |
| 4 |
| the adoption of a Track E (year-round) calendar; therefore, be |
| 5 |
| it
|
| 6 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 7 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 8 |
| urge the Chicago Board of Education to adopt rules that require |
| 9 |
| the signatures of a majority of parents of students in a school |
| 10 |
| and require that 2 public hearings be held at varying times of |
| 11 |
| the day to ensure the maximum attendance by parents before the |
| 12 |
| school may operate on a Track E (year-round) calendar; and be |
| 13 |
| it further

| RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to |
| 15 |
| the Chicago Board of Education.
