HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of  
3Representatives are pleased to honor Sam Wolf for his many 
4years of dedicated service to the people of the State of 
5Illinois; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Sam Wolf served the people of this State with 
7pride and integrity as an Illinois State Representative from 
81974 to 1992; during his tenure with the Illinois House of 
9Representatives, he was instrumental in the legislation that 
10established community college sub-districts; he was regarded 
11by his constituents and his fellow Representatives as a capable 
12and effective legislator; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Sam Wolf has served as a trustee at Southwestern 
14Illinois College since 1995; he has also played a vital role at 
15SWIC's Sam Wolf Granite City Campus, which includes his 
16procurement of the funding to establish the Industrial 
17Technology Center at the campus and his role in establishing 
18the Auto Collision Repair Technology Center; a dedication 
19ceremony for the newly-renovated Sam Wolf Granite City Campus 
20will be held on October 20, 2010; and

  
 
21    WHEREAS, Sam Wolf serves as a model of hard work, 
22integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of

1Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4honor Sam Wolf for his many years of dedicated service to the 
5people of the State of Illinois and wish him continued success 
6and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That we designate October 20, 2010 as Sam Wolf 
8Day in the State of Illinois in honor of Sam Wolf and his 
9accomplishments; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Sam Wolf as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
