HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate LisaRaye McCoy of 
4Chicago on her birthday, September 23, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born September 23, 1967 in Chicago, the 
6daughter of a businessman and a professional model; she 
7attended the Academy of St. James College Prep and Eastern 
8Illinois University before pursuing her acting career; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, She has appeared in the movies The Players Club, 
10The Wood, Rhapsody, All About You, Civil Brand, Beauty Shop, 
11and Go for Broke; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, She appeared for four years on the CW network 
13sitcom All of Us; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, In 2005, she released two fashion lines, Luxe & 
15Romance, a lingerie line, and Xraye, a jeans line for women; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, In addition to acting in movies and television, 
18she has also appeared in music videos for Tupac Shakur, Sisqo, 
19Ghostface Killah, and Master P; she is currently starring in 
20her own reality show, "LisaRaye, The Real McCoy"; therefore, be

2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4congratulate LisaRaye McCoy on her birthday and wish her 
5continued success and happiness; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to LisaRaye McCoy as a symbol of our respect and 
8esteem.
