HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate  the staff, 
4faculty, students, and alumni of Reavis High School as they 
5celebrate their 60th anniversary of educational excellence; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, An Open House Celebration will be held on October 
83, 2010; presentations, tours, booths, and other activities are 
9planned to celebrate this special occasion; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Many teachers from the past, as well as coaches, 
11sponsors, and students are expected to attend this event; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, A Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony will be held at noon and 
13will feature a documentary about Reavis High School, produced 
14by the Reavis High School Communications Club, with narration 
15by the first Mayor of Burbank, John W. Fitzgerald; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The festivities will move to the Main Gym for the 
17cutting of cake and the singing of "Happy Birthday, Reavis", 
18led by the band, cheerleaders, and Ricky the Ram; therefore, be 
19it

1NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate everyone that will be celebrating this special day 
3in the history of Reavis High School and look forward to 
4celebrating many more historic days with the school; and be it

6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Daniel Riordan, Superintendent and Principal of 
8Reavis High School.
