HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the members of Elwood 
4Lodge No. 919 AF&AM on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of 
5the Lodge; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Elwood Lodge No. 919 AF&AM was officially 
7instituted in Elwood on November 19, 1908 by Dispensation of 
8the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons of the State of 
9Illinois; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Elwood Lodge No. 919 AF&AM was officially 
11chartered on October 12, 1910 by the Most Worshipful Grand 
12Lodge of Masons of the State of Illinois; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The members of the Masonic Fraternity and Elwood 
14Lodge No. 919 AF&AM provide drug abuse prevention for school 
15teachers and provide for the care of orphaned children through 
16the operation of two Children's Home Facilities in the State of 
17Illinois; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, The Members of Elwood Lodge No. 919 AF&AM through 
19the Shriners help support the operation of the Shriner's 
20Hospital for Children; and

1    WHEREAS, There are approximately 75,000 Masons in 
2approximately 500 Lodges in the State of Illinois; therefore, 
3be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate the members of Elwood Lodge No. 919 AF&AM on the 
7occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Lodge, and we commend 
8the members of the Lodge for their commitment to serve the 
9community; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Elwood Lodge No. 919 AF&AM as a token of our 
12respect and esteem.
