HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to acknowledge milestones in the 
4lives of the people of the State of Illinois; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Boy Scout Troop 107 in Jacksonville are 
6celebrating their 90th anniversary; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Grace Methodist Episcopal Church in 
8Jacksonville applied for a troop charter in August of 1920; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Scouting was incorporated on February 8, 1910 and 
10chartered by Congress on June 15, 1916; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville 
12continues to serve as the sponsor of Troop 107; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Boy Scout Troop 107 will celebrate their Eagle 
14Scout dinner on November 20, 2010 and will showcase a display 
15of the history of the Troop; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
17NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
18congratulate Boy Scout Troop 107 in Jacksonville on this 
19momentous occasion; and be it further
